HarmonAC
Harmonizing Air Conditoning Inspection and Audit Procedures in the Tertiary Building Sector
Period
-
Context
Under the new European legislation on the energy performance of buildings (EPB), the Member States of the Community are obliged to impose an inspection of air conditioning systems used in buildings in the tertiary sector whose power exceeds 12 kW. Reliable information and advice on the energy savings that can be achieved by properly adapting, repairing or modifying these systems must be available through targeted inspections. It has indeed become apparent that the potential for energy savings in this area is enormous.
Objectives
The HARMONAC project aims to put in place effective inspection procedures. To ensure their validity and ease of use, they will be tested on a large number of existing buildings and modelled. In particular, ULg will participate in this work in collaboration with other European universities. These procedures will then be made available to the main players in the sector for whom the necessary training will be provided.
